Set Apart ~ Prayer Journal for Caty M

Todays Verse is from Caty's Brother ~ Colin.

* COLIN'S VERSE ~ Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Dear Lord

We pray your magnificent scripture and spoken word would light the pathway for Caty and her their guide!

And the prayer of faith will save him/her (Caty) who is sick, and the Lord will restore him/her (Caty); and if he/she (Caty) has committed sins, he/she (Caty) will be forgiven.

By: Sheri Rose Shepherd from the book -His Princess Love Letters From the King

I have called you to be set apart, just as I called those who came before you.

I know this calling will sometimes come with great cost, but the eternal rewards are priceless and beyond comparison. Just as I did with Queen Esther, I have given you the ability to walk in such a way so all will see that you are divinely Mine!

Some will admire you for your dedication to Me, and some will want you to fail rather than follow your lead. You may fall because you are not perfect, but your mistakes can be the tutors that make you wiser. Don't put pressure on yourself to be perfect. I'm the only one who can perfect you, My Princess.

All I ask is that you let Me set you apart so that I use you as a witness for the world to see.

Your King

I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokesman to the world. Jeremiah 1:5

Thank the Lord for Caty having good lab reports this week.
She was so happy to be well enough to attend Pep Squad practices.

She needs us to cover her with prayers of strength and healing.
She would like to have continued good reports and enough energy to participate in Pep Camp next week.

This week her hair began to fall out so she went ahead and shaved it...she looks beautiful bald!!

Thanks for Cheering and Praying for Caty!

Journey ~ Don't Stop Believing

OK, Here it is - My first Music Monday blog!!

This one is about our Journey Concert experience we had with our good friends - Sarah and Stephen on July 25th at the Verizon.

Stephen got us tickets as soon as they went on sale and grabbed us some great seats!

We talked for months about the new lead singer, Arnel and how amazing this guys voice was. To see him in concert was worth the whole ticket. That guy had such huge energy and was a dynamic performer and singer...VERY talented! You can go to YouTube and type in Journey and check him out.

If you liked Journey in the past...You will still enjoy their new music and their new CD which has 2 cd' is Arnel singing their greatest hits...He did a fantastic job! Now don't get me wrong - Steve Perry is still my favorite Journey lead singer...but Arnel exceeded our expectations!!

I am excited about posting information about music, concerts and the artists. So check back periodically on a Monday and we will have a great melody of discussion!

There might even be a give away or two going on!

Speaking of Giveaways...Last Friday I was going to announce the winner of the New Third Day CD ~ Revelation. I apologize that it was not much was going on because our oldest daughter finished up College Classes on Friday. We went to watch her last performance and then finished moving her back home!! I will have a blog about her this week.

Soooo Here Is the Winner of The Third Day CD ~~ Congratulations To: AMY at 3Cheersformom!!!

Back to the Music Monday Edition ~

Personally I love music and really enjoy hearing it live...even if it is on the patio of one of my favorite restaurants.

Music touches our lives as it weaves memories of the moment into our hearts.

You can play certain songs from the past and watch a person's disposition change. They might even get up and dance!

Yep - that is what I witnessed when we recently went to the Cheap Trick, Heart and Journey Concert. People of all ages were there...but the funniest thing to watch was the older ones.

The grandma who shook and moved like she was in her twenties was so adorable...she was a pretty woman in her 60's...and somebody's Grandma!

The other person that kept getting my attention was a guy, a few rows in front of us, who just couldn't stay seated. He was all over his seating area and probably is still sore from his aerobics that he did that day...Phew! I was exhausted just watching him!

There were many more but I think you get the picture!
I am not even going to address the visuals that we saw!!
Lets just say...You should not still be dressing like that!

Thank you Sarah and Stephen for a great night of music, memories and late night eating!
Hey Stephen - Rick also says thanks for holding him up on your shoulders so he could see better!

Ha, Ha - just kidding folks!!

Well, here is a shout out to one of our youth kids that was at the concert...Yo Pink Girl Julia!!
Hope you enjoyed the concert with your family...You guys Rock!

Well, until next time...Don't Stop Believing!
